The Arts & Sciences Imaging Center is a fee-for-service core facility established in 2017 in the Jacobs Science Building. The Center provides both unique microscopy instrumentation and expertise not available elsewhere on campus, as well as single cell and spatial transcriptomics and multiomics services. We offer specialized imaging instruments to permit the observation of live animals, tissues, or cells over time. Technical expertise to train and assist users is provided by a full-time manager with extensive experience in biological imaging.
The Imaging Center is a provider of single cell and spatial transcriptomics services using the 10x Genomics platforms. The Imaging Center staff has performed these analyses on hundreds of samples from researchers at UK and off campus. We receive ongoing training directly by 10x Genomics applications specialists to provide the latest services for transcriptomics and multiomics solutions.
The Imaging Center is supported by the College of Arts & Sciences and the Biology Department. If you have questions about the Imaging Center, instruments available in the Center, transcriptomics services offered, or would like to arrange a free consultation to discuss your research applications, please submit a web contact form.
